How to Enter the Honda Accord Radio Code

Honda Accord Sedan Infotainment screen

Have you found yourself asking the question “why am I being asked for a Honda Accord audio system code at all?” The answer: when you change the battery, your Honda Accord radio will automatically ask for the code. In most cases, this can be solved by holding the radio power button until the radio starts, meaning you won’t need a code. However, this doesn’t work in any case, which is why Metro Honda is here to walk you through how to enter the code manually!

Retrieving Your Honda Accord Audio System

There are a few different methods for retrieving your Honda Accord radio code:

  • Check your owner’s manual, which will usually have instructions. It will be on a sticker with the radio serial number.
  • Stop by the Metro Honda Honda service center, which is conveniently located close to Bayonne.
  • Retrieve your code online via the OEM site. To find it online, you’ll need to enter your zip code, phone number, email address, VIN number (located on the driver’s side of your car behind the windshield), and serial number.

Enter Your Honda Accord Audio System Code

Once you’ve found the code, the next step is to enter it into your system! It’s an easy process. Enter the code using the radio preset buttons, press enter, and you’re ready to go!
